Objectives:  To deepen the understanding of Japan’s historical image, deepen the understanding of the situation Japan is in in the modern global society and the role of Japan.

Outline of class 1: To explore Japanese contemporary images from a foreign country. Exploring the transition of the image from Meiji to Heisei, from Exotic to Menace in the 1920s, Phoenix after the war (phoenix) and seeing the era, and finally from the current image of Japan a traditional image consider a connection relationship. Classes are conducted in Japanese and English, and various materials are also used in Japanese and English.
